Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) proudly returns as sponsor of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of New Hampshire taking place on Sunday, October 27th at Memorial Field in Concord. The $10,000 sponsorship goes toward Survivor Place, a special tent that provides all survivors and thrivers an inviting space to unite.
“This event is truly inspiring and we’re honored to be a longstanding sponsor and participant in the fight against breast cancer,” said Linda Lorden, President of The Merrimack.
Making Strides is a nationwide movement to help the American Cancer Society fund life-saving breast cancer research, crucial patient services, and education and prevention initiatives. Last year’s walk raised more than $575,000 towards the cause.
“We’re incredibly grateful for The Merrimack’s generosity over the years,” said Nancy Mathis, Senior Development Manager at the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of New Hampshire. “This event wouldn’t be what it is today without our volunteers, sponsors and donors.”
Making Strides of New Hampshire amplifies the local passion and resolve in the fight against breast cancer. Together, participants, organizers and volunteers create awareness by supporting survivors and their families, while raising money for critical breast cancer research through the American Cancer Society.
