If you’ve ever used Ticketmaster, one of the largest online ticket sales platforms in the world, listen up! A hacking group claims it breached the ticketing giant and stole data from about 560 million users worldwide. This could lead to severe implications for the affected users such as potential identity theft, financial fraud and further cyber-attacks.
The compromised data includes users’ full names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, event details, order information and partial payment details. The payment data includes customer names, last four digits of card numbers, expiration dates and even customer fraud details.
No specific time frame has been disclosed for this breach so it’s important for all past and present Ticketmaster customers to monitor their financial accounts closely, update passwords and remain on high alert for potential phishing attempts.
