  1. Budget – how much are you looking to spend monthly, there are many sites out there where you can see what home have recently sold for and give you a good idea of what you are looking at.
  2. Location- Which home makes the most sense: Close to work, close to schools, close to family?
  3. Credit- There are many free ways to get a look at your credit score these days, not only is it important to know what range your score is in but also to check if there are any accounts that may not be reporting correctly or have been closed.
