Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) is celebrating International Friendship Day with the Friends Program as presenting sponsor of Friends-a-Palooza. The annual event is not only fun for the whole family, but a way to connect families with helpful organizations and resources in the Concord community.
Friends-a-Palooza will take place on Saturday, July 29th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Keach Park in Concord. The free event features an afternoon filled with music, sports and games, along with more than two dozen local organizations.
“We are very grateful to our friends at The Merrimack for believing in our work and sponsoring this family-friendly event,” said Nancy Paul, Executive Director of the Friends Program. “Admission is free for anyone interested in stopping by. We’ll have music, crafts, snacks, stories, dancing and much more!”
“We feel fortunate to contribute in any small way we can to support at-risk youth and families,” said Linda Lorden, President of The Merrimack. “We continue to stand behind our longtime support of the Friends Program.”
Founded in 1975, the Friends Program is a non-profit social service organization that builds connections and solutions for at-risk children, families, and seniors. Through volunteers and donations, the agency is able to offer programs with the mission of improving educational outcomes for youth, increasing housing and food security, and improving the ability of seniors to live healthy and independent lives.
