Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) wraps up #NHBanksGiveBack, a statewide effort coordinated by the NH Bankers Association to give back to our communities. Throughout the month of October, The Merrimack hosted a food drive to benefit local food pantries, made a number of financial donations and volunteered at dozens of local non-profits.
Food drives were held at all seven Merrimack branches in Concord, Bow, Contoocook, Hooksett and Nashua. The food collected was donated to the following pantries:
- The Friendly Kitchen in Concord
- Twin Rivers Food Pantry in Franklin
- Hopkinton Food Pantry
- Hooksett Food Pantry
- Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter
The Merrimack also donated $21,668.63 to 23 local non-profits and employees volunteered 150.25 hours of their personal time to 25 community organizations. In October, The Merrimack employee team also served 58 meals as part of a longstanding tradition of volunteering at the Friendly Kitchen.
“I’m grateful for our incredible employees who demonstrate such a strong commitment to service and giving back to the communities where we live and work,” said Linda Lorden, President of The Merrimack. “We proudly stand with NH Bankers, and we’re honored to be part of their collective efforts. As a mutual savings bank, we’re grateful for our communities and we will continue to do all we can to ensure their health and sustainability.”
