Mark your calendars, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk is returning to Concord on Sunday, October 16th with Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) as the sponsor of Survivor Place. The $10,000 Survivor Place sponsorship is a special tent that provides all survivors and thrivers an inviting area to experience the strength of uniting with others who have faced similar challenges.
“We’re honored for the opportunity to sponsor the Survivor Place tent year after year,” said Linda Lorden, President of The Merrimack. “The Making Strides Walk brings our community together to honor, celebrate and pay tribute to loved ones who’ve been affected. It’s more than just a walk, it’s a movement to end breast cancer.”
“This event would not be possible without the generosity of local businesses and steadfast support from The Merrimack,” said Nancy Mathis, Senior Development Manager at the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of New Hampshire. “Breast cancer patients and their families count on this nationwide movement to fund research, access to quality care, patient support and so much more.”
This year, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of New Hampshire celebrates its 30th anniversary. The walk, scheduled for Sunday, October 16th at Memorial Field in Concord, will feature a family-friendly 5 mile or 2.5 mile route. Registration begins at 11:00 am with a 1:00 pm start time. To register to walk or to make a donation, visit www.makingstrideswalk.org/NH.
