Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) is hosting a food drive throughout the month of October to support our local food pantries as they prepare for the busy holiday season ahead. Each of The Merrimack’s seven locations will be collecting non-perishable food donations to help feed the nearly 95,000 people facing hunger in the Granite State.
Donations will be distributed to the following pantries:
- Friendly Kitchen (Concord)
- Twin Rivers Food Pantry (Franklin)
- Hopkinton Food Pantry
- Hooksett Food Pantry
- Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter
The Merrimack food drive coincides with #NHBanksGiveBack, a statewide coordinated effort by New Hampshire’s banking industry to celebrate the act of giving back to our communities. To help make a difference, drop off non-perishable food and household items at any of The Merrimack’s seven locations.
“The Merrimack is proud to be participating in #NHBanksGiveBack,” said Linda Lorden, President of The Merrimack. “Giving back to our neighbors is a founding cornerstone of The Merrimack, and during these uncertain times, helping put food on the table is a simple act that can mean the world to a family in need.”
“Banks in New Hampshire are united in their consistent and continued support of our communities through hours of volunteerism and financial support to local non-profit and civic organizations. We are so proud of their work. This one month of giving by New Hampshire’s banking industry represents and celebrates the longstanding practice by our members to regularly give back to their communities,” said Kristy Merrill, President of NH Bankers.
