We are proud to announce that we renewed our support for the 2021 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of New Hampshire by sponsoring the Survivors Tent for $10,000. The event occurs Sunday, October 17 at Memorial Field in Concord, with registration beginning at 11am and the walk beginning at 1pm.
This year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the first of its kind, as local walks from Nashua, North Conway, Manchester, the Lakes Region and Concord are converging as one October 17 at Memorial Field. Local organizers combined the individual events to amplify the collective passions and resolve in the fight against breast cancer. Together their voices will come together in support of survivors and their families. Proceeds will help fund breast cancer research through the American Cancer Society.
This is The Merrimack’s 6th year as the Survivors Tent sponsor, though the Bank has contributed and participated in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer since its inception. Many employees faithfully volunteer and participate in the walk each year. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer brings together our entire community to honor, celebrate and pay tribute to loved ones who’ve been affected by cancer,” said Linda Lorden, President of Merrimack County Savings Bank. “We are so happy to support this event in any small way we can. Making Strides represents hope and perseverance in the fight against cancer. By walking, volunteering or giving to this event, we are helping survivors and family members in direct and meaningful ways.”
“We are enormously grateful to The Merrimack for their steadfast sponsorship and support of Making Strides,” said Nancy Mathis, Senior Development Manager at the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of New Hampshire. “We count on the generosity of local businesses, like The Merrimack, as well as individual contributions from walkers and teams. This collective support helps to fund breast cancer research that will eventually lead to a cure. This annual community event would not be possible without the generosity of so many.”
