There is no higher priority to The Merrimack than the safety of our customers and employees. We are closely monitoring communication from state medical professionals, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), government agencies, and internal teams to stay on top of the evolving situation with the virus that causes COVID-19. According to the most recent information from the CDC, for most people, the immediate risk of being exposed to the virus is thought to be low.
We want you to feel confident when doing business with us. As a result, we have enhanced some of our cleaning procedures in the interest of our customers’ and employees’ health and safety.
We clean all of our buildings every night, and we have enhanced our overnight cleaning procedures. In addition, we have increased the number of times each day we wipe down common-use surfaces, and are working to supply all ATM locations with wipe stations so customers can choose to wipe ATMs down before using them. Hand-cleaner will be available in most locations and we are working with our supplier to ensure we have it in all locations.
We have reminded our staff that we request that they stay home when they are ill, and have requested that employees not travel out of state for work-related causes for the immediate future. We ask that you help to protect our staff and other customers by opting to use online and phone based banking options whenever possible if you are ill.
We also want to remind you that criminals and fraudsters often take advantage of situations like this. We are carefully monitoring possible fraud trends related to the ongoing situation and will inform customers via the “Consumer Alerts” section of our website and our social media sites: Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Please be very cautious and do not give financial or personal information out in response to phone calls, emails, texts or social media messages.
In addition, we want to take a moment to remind you of the many ways that you can do your banking remotely.
